Browsing and retailer links
You can browse without creating an account or submitting body measurements. The server handles ordinary request information, such as IP address, requested page and time, to deliver and protect the website. Optional analytics is controlled through the site’s cookie choices; see Cookies. We do not send your email address, contributor note, confirmation token or a personal measurement profile to analytics.
Retailer links take you to another company’s website. That seller and any affiliate network may process the referral under their own notices. We do not receive your payment-card details or fulfil retailer orders. Our affiliate disclosure explains how commissions support the site.
With your optional analytics consent, Google Analytics 4 receives page visits and limited site actions. Google provides this service under its privacy information. We strip query strings and fragments from analytics page addresses and referrers, use generic search-page titles, and exclude raw search text, selected measurement values, email addresses, confirmation tokens and reader notes from our custom events. Google Signals, advertising personalisation and Enhanced Measurement are disabled. Reject or withdraw analytics through Cookie preferences; the cookie notice explains this site’s separate storage.
Reader fit notes, photos and private editor messages
The form records your private contact email, note or message, type of submission, date, optional public credit, garment/label details and the permissions you choose. An optional photo is held privately for authorised editorial review. Do not include addresses, order numbers, health information or other sensitive details. You must be 18 or over and sending your own experience, idea or message.
Submissions are not published automatically. A private editor message needs no permission to publish and stays private. Separate text and photo permissions cover this website only; newsletter or social use needs separate permission. A photo submission must have the relevant photographer and identifiable-person permissions. Withdrawing a website permission does not subscribe you to any marketing.
We use contact messages to respond and administer editorial enquiries, and use chosen publication permissions to assess and feature contributions. Private records are kept while needed to review, correspond, handle a withdrawal or document permission for material still published. We review whether the record is still needed when that purpose ends. Removal of a private form record and review of separately published material are distinct steps; tell us what you want withdrawn so both can be considered.
Upcoming newsletter: sign-up and confirmation
When you choose the newsletter opt-in, we store your email address, subscription status, consent wording/version, source and request date, and any confirmation or unsubscribe date in private records for this men’s site. We send a confirmation email from men@plus-size.me. Its link expires after 48 hours; opening the link shows a confirmation button, and your subscription becomes active only after you press it. Weekly editions will begin later.
Your confirmation email includes an unsubscribe link that works without signing in, including before weekly sending starts. We do not automatically subscribe site visitors, users, commenters, contributors or anyone on the women’s mailing list. Confirmation messages use the site’s configured mail server; there is no shared mailing list with the women’s site.
The 48-hour expiry is for the confirmation link, not automatic deletion of the request. Used and expired confirmation codes are cleared. Subscription and consent records remain while needed to administer your request or subscription, respond to questions and record your choices, subject to review or a verified privacy request. Unsubscribing stops future newsletters. A verified erasure request clears the stored email address while retaining a keyed, coded suppression record to help prevent unintended future mail. A new signup requires a fresh confirmation.
Who can access records
Private reader and subscription records are available to authorised people administering this website, and to the hosting or mail services needed to run it. We do not sell your contact details or give a retailer your contributor note. Public credit or an approved photo is disclosed only within the scope of your recorded permission. We may retain limited records where needed to address a dispute, prevent unwanted mail or meet a legal obligation.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can ask to see or correct your information, request erasure, object to a use based on our interests, or withdraw consent or publication permission. We may ask for enough information to verify that a request is yours. Use the editor route or email above; an unsubscribe link is the quickest way to stop newsletter marketing. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
We use consent for newsletter registration, optional analytics and the publication permissions you choose; administering contact enquiries and keeping the service secure serve our interests in running an editorial website. The exact records retained depend on the purpose described above. We will update this notice when the service or the processors used for it change.
